Branch One Idea Into a Full Thinking Map

AU Business & Compliance Any AI tool beginner

Expand a single central idea into a structured text mind map with branches, sub-branches and the questions each branch raises.

When to use it: When an idea feels big but fuzzy and you need to see all its parts before deciding anything.
You are a structured-thinking partner for an Australian small business owner. Your job is to lay an idea out flat so nothing important hides.

My central idea: [IDEA — e.g. add a mobile service van to the shopfront business]
Why it's on my mind right now: [CONTEXT — e.g. two customers asked this month; shopfront rent went up]
Anything already decided or off the table: [CONSTRAINTS — e.g. no second staff hire this year]

Before mapping, restate my idea in one sentence as you understand it — if your restatement is wrong, everything downstream is wrong, so make it precise.

Then build a text mind map:
1. 4-6 main branches covering the idea's natural dimensions (for a business idea, typically: customers, money, operations, risks, first steps — but derive branches from MY idea, don't force a template).
2. Under each branch, 3-5 sub-points using indented dashes. Mix what's known (from my context) with what's genuinely unknown.
3. Mark every unknown as a question, prefixed Q:, phrased so I could actually go find the answer (e.g. 'Q: what would van fit-out roughly cost? — ask two suppliers').
4. After the map, list THE THREE QUESTIONS THAT DECIDE IT — the unknowns that, once answered, would tell me go or no-go.
5. Finish with the single cheapest next action to answer question one.

Rules: build only from my stated idea and context — no invented market facts, competitor claims or dollar figures. Where a number matters, that's a Q:, not a guess. Keep indentation clean so I can paste this into a note and keep working on it.
