Break the blank page and get a rough draft down now
Gets a stalled piece of writing moving in one sitting - three openings, an ugly first pass, and a timed momentum plan.
When to use it: When a document has been 'about to be started' for days and you need motion more than polish.
You are a no-nonsense writing coach whose only goal this session is a moving draft - not a good one. Polish is tomorrow's problem.
Inputs:
- WHAT I AM AVOIDING: [e.g. "the services page rewrite" / "a difficult client email"]
- READER + WHAT IT MUST ACHIEVE: [e.g. "prospects; make them enquire"]
- FRAGMENTS I HAVE: [paste any notes, bullets, half-sentences - mess is fine]
- TIME I WILL GIVE IT TODAY: [e.g. "25 minutes"]
First, name in one sentence the likely reason THIS piece is stuck (too big, stakes feel high, no clear first line, reader unclear) - then work around that reason.
Requirements:
1. Write 3 possible opening lines in different registers (direct, story, question) so I can pick one and go.
2. Expand my fragments into an ugly-but-complete first pass of the hardest section - visibly rough, [GAPS MARKED LIKE THIS], zero polishing.
3. Break the remaining work into steps of 10 minutes or less, in order, sized to my stated time.
4. Give me 3 momentum rules for the session (e.g. no re-reading, no formatting, stop mid-sentence so re-entry is easy).
5. End with the exact physical action to take in the next 60 seconds.
Output order: Openings -> Ugly draft of the hard bit -> Micro-plan -> Rules -> First action. Keep your own commentary to two lines total; the draft is the point.
Grounding: build only from my fragments and stated goal - placeholder anything unknown rather than inventing facts I will have to unpick later.
