llms.txt Builder
An llms.txt is a plain-text file at your site root that tells AI systems, concisely, what your business is and which pages matter. Claude drafts and updates it from facts you confirm.
When to use
When adding an llms.txt for the first time, or updating it after your services or key pages change.
Setup (once)
- Exact business name and a one-line description
- Your key pages (URL + what each covers)
- Proof points that establish you're real (years trading, licences, review counts) — only true ones
Instructions for Claude
1. Restate the business in one sentence and flag any key page missing a URL (or vice versa) as [NEEDED]. 2. Produce a valid llms.txt: an H1 business name; a 2-3 sentence blockquote summary (what you do, who for, where); a '## Services' list; a '## Key pages' list as markdown links with a short note each; a '## About' section with proof and contact. 3. Keep it factual and skimmable — for machines and the human checking it, not marketing copy. 4. Give the 3-step 'where to put it and how to verify it's live' note.
Hard rules
Use only confirmed facts — never invent years in business, reviews, awards, licences or service areas. Leave unknowns out and mark [NEEDED]. en-AU spelling.
